Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps head claimed on Wednesday that Tehran was on the brink of full-on conflict with its enemy, which he implies the United States. “We are on the cusp of a full-scale confrontation with the enemy,” Major General Hossein Salami said. Also, on Wednesday, Washington ordered partial withdrawal of its diplomatic staff in Iraq due the increasing threats from Tehran. President Trump last month ended sanction exemptions for some countries for Iranian oil and also declared more sanctions targeting country’s metal industry. The ongoing rift and oil sanctions hit Iran’s oil production, according to a latest report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) which is cited by certain media outlets. The agency foresees that Iran oil exports are expected to fall this month to their lowest “in decades”. Also, in the last months, Iran’s crude exports was shrank by nearly one million barrels per day.
