Select 'Tools' from your trading platform and then 'New Order'.

Complete the required information in the new window.

Right/double click on the trade you want to close.

When the order window opens, click 'Close' and then 'OK'.

You can view all closed positions in the 'Account History' tab.

Standard Account: You can adjust your Stop Loss/Take Profit settings in the new order window.

Advantage Account: After placing a new order, you can set Stop Loss/Take Profit by double-clicking on the order or right-clicking. Change it by selecting 'Change or Delete Order' from the 'Trade' tab in the terminal window.

You cannot change or delete Stop Loss/Take Profit once the price is reached.

The prices displayed on the MT platform charts are the maximum Bid or High (top of the bar) and the minimum Bid or Low (bottom of the bar) prices.

  • Ask price = Offer + Difference

  • Minimum demand = Low + Spread

  • Maximum demand = High + Spread

In Buy positions, your Stop Loss and Take Profit orders are triggered when the Bid price reaches the order level.

In Sell positions, your Stop Loss and Take Profit orders are triggered when the Ask price reaches the order level.

Buy Limit and Buy Stop orders will be triggered when Ask prices reach the order level.

When the buy prices reach the order level, the Sell Limit and Sell Stop orders will be triggered.

You can display a 'Query Line' in your charts by following these steps:

Right click anywhere on the chart and select 'Properties'.
Go to the 'Partner' tab and select 'Show Ask Line'.
Click 'OK' to apply.

As spread and commission (for Advantage account) are applied.

Possible causes:

Your account is set to read-only.

You are logged in using your read-only password.

Your read-only password is the same as your trading account password.

You have not made the minimum deposit required for this account.

Please note that trailing stops are disabled when you log out or disconnect from your platform.

This happens if you give the platform an extra instruction, which could consist of multiple clicks or a hyperactive EA before the previous one completed.

No, we don't. If you have Trailing Stops and EAs, they will be automatically disabled if your platform is closed or you are logged out.

The first thing you should do is change your trading account password.

Then you should take a look at your trading history:

Click on the 'Daily' tab on your MT platform.
Right click anywhere in the 'Log' tab and select 'Open'.
View your trading activity.
Please note that if you are using the MT platform on more than one device, you will need to get all the log files to get your full history.
